What is iSTREAM?
iSTREAM is an event bringing together streamers, digital creators, fans, platforms, brands and industry professionals for live entertainment, education, networking and community experiences.
When and where is iSTREAM taking place?
iSTREAM will take place on Saturday 23 + Sunday 24 January 2027 at Melbourne Convention Centre.
What can I expect at iSTREAM?
Attendees can expect live panels, creator appearances, workshops, gaming and entertainment, meet-and-greets, brand activations, community meetups, merchandise and networking opportunities.
Who is iSTREAM for?
iSTREAM is designed for everyone! Fans, emerging and established creators, streamers, industry professionals, brands and anyone interested in online entertainment and creator culture.
Do I need to be a streamer or content creator to attend?
No! You do not need to be a streamer or content creator to attend iSTREAM – fans and people who are simply curious about creator culture are welcome.
Do I need an established audience or a minimum number of followers?
Absolutely not – no minimum audience or follower count is required for admission.
Is iSTREAM suitable for fans as well as creators?
YES! iSTREAM is all about experiences for fans alongside educational, collaborative and professional opportunities for creators.
What kinds of activities will be available?
Panels, meet-and-greets, interactive challenges, live podcast studio recordings, live gameplay, performances, activations and immersive experiences.
Is this the first iSTREAM event?
YES! This is the inaugural iSTREAM for Australia.

Event dates and opening hours
What are the event dates?
Saturday 23 + Sunday 24 January 2027.
What time does iSTREAM open and close each day?
Gates open at 10am each day and the event will finish up approximately 7pm on both days. Different types of tickets may include an early entry option.
Will the same activities and creators be available every day?
Not necessarily. Some sessions, activities and creator appearances may only be available on particular days. Check the published schedule before attending.
Tickets and passes
How do I access a ticket during the presale?
The iSTREAM presale is an opportunity to get first access to tickets. To get access, anyone can to access the iSTREAM presale. You will be sent a presale link the morning of the presale which will give you access to the presale.
To access the presale, just click on the link in the email and it will direct you to the Oztix (the authorised ticketing agency) presale page. You can purchase presale tickets during the presale period, which runs for 48 hours.
iSTREAM Presale
- Starts: Tuesday 29 September @ 9am local time
- Ends: Thursday 1 October @ 9am local time
Tickets in all categories will be available, except for Meet & Greet tickets which will be released later in the year. The presale does not offer preferential tickets and tickets are only available until exhausted.
When do tickets go on sale to the general public?
General public tickets go on sale Friday 2 October @ 10am AEST.

Are single-day tickets available?
YES! One day passes are available for iSTREAM.
Are weekend or multi-day passes available?
YES! Two day passes are available for iSTREAM.
Are family or group tickets available?
YES! Single day and two day Family tickets are available.
How much do tickets cost?

What is the difference between the Industry, Creator and All Access Passes?
All three passes include full show floor access across both festival days, complimentary access to select Meet & Greets, early entry, fast tracked entry, express lanes, vendor freebies, and an exclusive lanyard, merch item and iSTREAM tote bag.
Industry Weekend Pass ($400)
This is for professionals working in and around the creator economy. In addition to the core benefits, you get full access to exclusive industry panels and entry to the Friday night Industry meet up, a great way to network with peers. Access to select panels, shows and live performances is included, subject to venue capacity. This pass gives you access for both days.
Creator Weekend Pass ($750)
Designed for creators who want space to connect and recharge. Includes everything in the core package plus access to the exclusive Creator Area, a dedicated space to network and unwind with fellow creators throughout the event, and full access to industry panels. This pass gives you access for both days.
All Access Weekend ($1,100)
The ultimate iSTREAM experience. Instead of select panels and shows, you get free admission to all panels and all shows and live performances, with no extra tickets required. You also get entry to the All Access Lounge, plus a $30 merchandise voucher for official iSTREAM merchandise stands. This gives you access to both days.
Please note: Some ticket packages include access to free Meet & Greets, which will be announced later in the year.
Is there a ticket option specifically for creators?
Yes. The iSTREAM Creator Pass is designed for creators who want more access across the weekend, along with opportunities to connect with other creators and the wider industry.
The Creator Pass includes full two-day show floor access, 30-minute early entry, fast-tracked venue entry, express lanes at select sessions, access to the exclusive Creator Area, industry panels, select Meet & Greets, panels and live performances, plus pre and post parties, exclusive merch and more.
Is there a limit on how many tickets I can purchase?
8 per transaction.
Can tickets sell out?
Yes. Ticket types and individual event days may sell out, so advance purchase is recommended.
Will tickets be available at the door?
Door sales will only be available if tickets don’t sell out ahead of the event. Advance purchase is recommended and entry cannot be guaranteed without a pre-purchased ticket.
How can I confirm that a ticket is genuine?
Purchase only through the official iSTREAM authorised ticketing provider, which is Oztix. iSTREAM cannot guarantee tickets bought through unofficial sellers or resellers.
Can I buy a ticket from another attendee or resale website?
Attendees should not buy tickets through unauthorised resale websites or social media. Unofficial tickets may be invalid, duplicated or cancelled, and iSTREAM takes no responsibility for tickets not purchased from the authorised ticketing provider.
Do separately ticketed experiences include general admission?
No – some Meet & Greets and panels will require an additional add-on purchase. Once the schedule is finalised, further details on these add-ons and how to purchase will also be released.
Ticket confirmation, passes and entry
How will I receive my ticket?
eTicket (QR barcoded electronic ticket): This is a PDF attachment to your order confirmation email.
SMS (QR barcoded electronic ticket): This is an SMS link sent to the number entered during the purchase process.
Can my ticket be scanned from my phone?
Yes. For both options, you can display the ticket QR barcode on your mobile phone or device. Just make sure you've turned up the brightness on your display.
What forms of identification are accepted?
Government-issued photo identification and any alternatives available to minors.
Can I change the name on my ticket?
Unless specified, tickets purchased via Oztix aren't name specific. The details at the top of your ticket are for billing purposes only and can't be changed. Simply forward the ticket on to the person attending. If you encounter any difficulties, contact the Oztix Customer Experience Team or call Oztix on 1300 762 545.
Children, young people and families
Is iSTREAM an all-ages event?
Yes, this is an all-ages event.
Guests aged 14 and under must be accompanied by a ticket-holding guardian at all times while on-site; guests aged 15–17 may attend unaccompanied.
Children aged 6 and under enter the event free of charge, provided they are accompanied by a ticket-holding guardian at all times while on-site.
Are prams permitted inside the venue?
Prams are not permitted within the exhibition hall due to potentially tight crowds and restricted space.
Does iSTREAM provide childcare or crèche facilities?
iSTREAM does not provide childcare. Parents and guardians remain responsible for children in their care.
What should I do if I become separated from my child or group?
Notify the nearest staff member or security officer immediately. The information desk will serve as the central meeting and assistance point.
Ticket changes, transfers and refunds
Can I change the day of my ticket?
Unfortunately not, so please ensure you have purchased for the correct day you wish to attend.
Can I receive a refund if I can no longer attend?
Once purchased, tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions.
What happens if a participating creator or guest cancels?
Creator appearances are subject to change. iSTREAM will update the schedule and, where possible, arrange replacement programming.
Will a guest cancellation qualify me for a refund?
The program, speakers, and schedule are subject to change at any time; minor changes do not entitle you to a refund.
Schedule and programming
When will the full event schedule be released?
The full event schedule will be released in late 2026. You can . Also keep an eye on iSTREAM’s social media accounts and website for updates.
Are panels and sessions included with my ticket?
General panels and sessions are included with the relevant admission ticket unless marked as restricted or separately ticketed.
Do I need to reserve a place for panels or sessions?
Most sessions will be first-come, first-served. Any session requiring a reservation will be clearly identified in the schedule.
Can sessions reach capacity?
Yes. Admission to the event does not guarantee entry to every session, and rooms may close once capacity is reached.
How early should I queue for a session?
Queue times will depend on demand. Attendees should arrive early for popular sessions and follow staff instructions.
Will queues have accessible entry options?
Accessible queuing arrangements will be available. Attendees requiring assistance should contact the accessibility team before the event or speak to onsite staff.
Will session rooms be cleared between activities?
Yes. We will need to clear the room to reset the stage for each session.
What happens if two activities I want to attend overlap?
Scheduling conflicts may occur. Attendees should use the published program to prioritise activities and allow time to move between areas.
Creators, streamers and special guests
Which creators, streamers and guests are attending?
Please see the full iSTREAM lineup.
Will creators attend on every event day?
Not necessarily. Individual appearance days and times will be listed in the schedule.
Where can I find each creator’s appearance schedule?
The full event schedule will be released in late 2026. You can . Also keep an eye on iSTREAM’s social media accounts and website for updates.
Are creator and guest appearances guaranteed?
No. Appearances are subject to professional commitments, illness, travel disruption and other circumstances outside iSTREAM’s control.
Can I approach creators outside official sessions?
Creators are entitled to personal space and downtime. Attendees should use official meet-and-greets and respect any request not to interact, film or take photographs.
What behaviour is expected when interacting with creators?
Be respectful, ask before touching or filming, follow staff directions and accept that a creator may decline a photograph, autograph or conversation.
Will there be opportunities to ask creators questions?
Selected panels and Q&A sessions may accept audience questions. The host and event team may moderate or decline questions.
Meet-and-greets, photographs and autographs
Will iSTREAM offer official meet-and-greets?
YES! There will be a variety of meet and greet opportunities at iSTREAM, which will be announced in late 2026.

Is a separate ticket or reservation required?
Yes, Meet & Greets are available to purchase as an add-on to tickets or packages.
Does a meet-and-greet ticket include general admission?
No. Attendees must also hold admission for the relevant event day.
How do I register or apply for a meet-and-greet?
Meet & Greet registrations will open in late 2026. Ticket purchasers will be contacted when registrations open. Please keep an eye on your emails, our social media and website.
Are accessibility accommodations available?
Yes. Attendees should contact the venue accessibility team in advance so suitable queuing, communication and support arrangements can be made.
Can I take a photograph or selfie?
This will vary from session to session – some creators may use an official photographer and prohibit personal photography.
Can I ask for an autograph?
This will vary from session to session, and is at the discretion of the creator and iSTREAM staff.
Can I bring an item to be signed?
Only where autographs are permitted. Items should be appropriate, safe and subject to creator and iSTREAM staff approval.
Can I give a creator a gift?
Gifts may be restricted for safety and logistical reasons. Attendees should check the individual session rules before bringing anything.

Tram and train stops are within easy walking distance of the venue.
Is parking available?
Limited parking is available; we recommend public transport.
Where is the closest accessible parking?

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Yes! MCEC is a fully accessible venue.

Is advance registration required for accessibility support?
General access does not require registration, but we recommend getting in touch in advance for specific services, credentials or reserved accommodations.
Does iSTREAM accept Companion Cards?
Yes – please contact Oztix!
What access does a companion ticket include?
A companion credential will provide equivalent access needed to support the attendee but does not automatically include merchandise or premium package extras.
Are accessible bathrooms available?
Yes, these are available at various locations inside the venue.
Are all-gender bathrooms available?
Yes, these are available at various locations inside the venue.
Is there a Changing Places facility?
Yes, these are available at various locations inside the venue.
Is there a nursing or parenting room?
For parents and children, Parent Rooms provide a comfortable and private space equipped for changing or feeding. They are located in both the Convention and Exhibition Centres.
Can I bring medication or a medical bag?
Yes. Medication and medically necessary supplies are permitted, although security may inspect bags.
Can I bring food required for medical reasons?
Yes. Reasonable quantities of medically necessary food are permitted, subject to venue safety requirements.
Are service animals permitted?
Accredited assistance animals are permitted in accordance with applicable law and venue requirements.
Safety, security and attendee conduct
What security screening will take place?
You will be subject to a security search upon entry, which may include wanding and bag searches.
What is the iSTREAM Code of Conduct?
All attendees, guests, exhibitors, staff and contractors must behave respectfully and must not engage in harassment, intimidation, discrimination, violence or unsafe conduct.
iSTREAM is committed to a safe, welcoming and harassment-free event for everyone – attendees, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, volunteers and staff – regardless of gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, age, race or religion.
The Code of Conduct prohibits harassment, discrimination, intimidation, unwelcome physical or sexual attention, and any behaviour that endangers or disrespects others. It applies to everyone at the event, in any capacity, for its full duration including official social events.
Participants must comply with directions from event staff, security and venue personnel.
To report a concern, speak to an iSTREAM team member or security. On-site contact details will be available closer to the event. We will treat reports seriously and may take any action we consider appropriate, up to and including removal from the event without refund, in line with the event Terms & Conditions.
Alcohol (where served), prohibited items, bag checks and other on-site safety rules are governed by the venue's Conditions of Entry. Illegal drugs and weapons are always strictly prohibited.
What is iSTREAM’s harassment policy?
iSTREAM applies zero tolerance to harassment. Reports will be acted on promptly and may result in removal without refund.
What behaviour is not permitted?
Harassment, unwanted contact, stalking, threats, discriminatory conduct, unsafe filming, disruption, property damage and failure to follow staff instructions are prohibited.
How can I report harassment or unsafe behaviour?
Move to a safe location and contact the nearest staff member, security officer or information desk.
Will medical and first-aid staff be available?
Qualified first-aid or medical personnel will be onsite during event hours.
What happens if an attendee breaches the Code of Conduct?
iSTREAM may warn, remove or ban an attendee without refund and may refer serious conduct to venue security or police.
Are smoking and vaping permitted?
Smoking and vaping are prohibited inside the venue and allowed only in designated outdoor areas.
Are alcohol and illicit substances prohibited?
Illicit substances are prohibited. Alcohol may only be purchased and consumed in licensed areas in accordance with venue rules.
What safety measures apply to meet-and-greets?
Meet-and-greets use controlled access, security staff, managed queues, bag restrictions and clear interaction rules.
Photography, filming and livestreaming
Can I take photographs at iSTREAM?
Personal photography is allowed in public areas unless signage or staff instructions say otherwise. Always ask before photographing another attendee.
Can I record video?
Personal video recording is permitted in approved public areas, subject to consent and session-specific restrictions.
Can I livestream from the event?
Personal livestreaming may be permitted in designated areas. Attendees must respect no-streaming zones, privacy, copyright and equipment restrictions.
Are there areas where filming, streaming or photography is prohibited?
Yes. Meet-and-greets, backstage areas, restricted lounges, screenings and selected sessions may prohibit recording. These areas will be clearly marked.
Do I need permission before photographing another attendee?
Yes. Ask first and respect the person’s right to decline.
Do I need permission before photographing a cosplayer?
Yes. Cosplay is not consent, and attendees must ask before photographing, filming or touching a cosplayer.
Can I film panels or performances?
Short personal recordings may be allowed unless prohibited by the session, speaker, performer or rights holder. Full-session recording requires approval.
Can I record meet-and-greets?
Recording is only allowed when the individual session rules permit it. Staff instructions must be followed.
Can I use professional camera equipment?
No – a good rule of thumb is if you can change the lens, don’t bring it.
Are tripods, monopods, lighting equipment or microphones permitted?
No. Equipment that blocks walkways, creates a hazard or disrupts attendees is not permitted.
Do brands and production crews require prior approval?
Yes. Brands and professional crews must contact iSTREAM in advance for accreditation, location and equipment approval. Failure to do so may result in removal from the event.
Will attendees be photographed or filmed by iSTREAM?
Yes. Official event photographers and production crews may capture the event for broadcast, editorial and promotional purposes. Attendance and acceptance of venue terms and conditions are considered consent to appear in official photo and video content.
How might official event footage be used?
Footage may be used in event coverage, livestreams, websites, social media, advertising and future iSTREAM promotions, subject to the published ticket terms and privacy policy.
What rules apply when filming children or young people?
Obtain permission from a parent or guardian before intentionally filming or interviewing a child. Official event production will follow documented child-safety and consent procedures.
Bags, equipment and prohibited items
Is there a bag-size limit?
MCEC's Conditions of Entry restrict bags over A4 size or that otherwise cannot fit under a seat. Small bags like handbags are fine. Larger bags would need to be cloaked (with a possible fee), as would eskies, hampers or containers over 1.5 litres.
Will bags be searched?
Yes. Bags may be inspected as a condition of entry.
Are charging devices and power banks permitted?
Personal power banks are permitted if they are undamaged and comply with venue safety rules.
What items are prohibited?
- Illicit substances
- Dangerous or inappropriate items – cutlery (except wooden/plastic), chairs, stools, tents, drones, flares, fireworks, firecrackers, smoke bombs, laser pointers, weapons, bicycles, scooters, skateboards, rollerblades, roller-skates, and anything else reasonably considered a health and safety risk
- Bags over A4 size, or that can't fit under a seat
- Eskies, hampers, and large containers over 1.5 litres
- Glass (including bottles), aluminium cans, ceramic, or other breakable containers
- Flags, banners, signs, and unauthorised promotional, commercial, political, religious, or offensive items
- Musical instruments, whistles, loud hailers, or amplification equipment
- Alcohol not purchased on the premises
Are outside promotional materials permitted?
Unauthorised flyers, samples, promotional products and commercial materials must not be distributed.
Can I distribute flyers or merchandise?
Only approved exhibitors, sponsors and authorised participants may distribute or sell materials at the event.
Are pets permitted?
No pets are permitted inside the venue, except accredited assistance animals.
Are service animals permitted?
Yes, accredited assistance animals are permitted in accordance with applicable law and venue policy.
What happens if I arrive with a prohibited item?
Entry may be refused until the item is removed. Security may direct the attendee to approved storage or require the item to be taken offsite.
Cosplay, costumes and props
Is cosplay permitted?
Yes. Cosplay is welcomed, subject to the costume, safety and prop policies.
Do I need to wear a costume to attend?
No. Cosplay is optional.
Must costumes be suitable for an all-ages event?
Yes. Costumes should provide appropriate coverage and must not include offensive, discriminatory or unsafe elements.
What costume restrictions apply?
Costumes must not obstruct vision, movement, exits or other attendees. Offensive imagery, realistic official uniforms and unsafe materials are restricted.
What does “cosplay is not consent” mean?
A costume is not permission to photograph, touch or harass someone. Always ask first and respect their answer.
Merchandise and shopping
Will official iSTREAM merchandise be available?
Yes, we will have a merch booth onsite!
Can merchandise sell out?
Yes. Merchandise will be available while stocks last and popular items or sizes may sell out.
What payment methods are accepted?
Merchandise outlets accept cards and digital wallets only.
Can exhibitors and creators sell their own products?
Approved exhibitors and creators may sell products from their allocated spaces, subject to event policies.
Venue facilities and attendee services
Is free Wi-Fi available?
The venue offers Wi-Fi throughout the venue.
Are seating and rest areas available?
General seating and rest areas will be provided throughout the venue and marked on the map.
Is there an information or help desk?
Yes. A central information desk will operate throughout event hours.
What should I do if I lose an item?
Report the item to the information or lost-property desk as soon as possible.
